PORT ROYALE 2 STUCK ON TRADING TUTORIAL FREE
In the Free Mode Games you could choose an option to randomize the starting resources in the out the captain's log that was posted a few hours ago, at least for the trade licenses there are already some adjustments coming: For example, you built a Sugar business in Seville and the AI then built Rum and Pastries to use that Sugar, leaving you with no free production slots to produce Cloth and Clothing in Seville, as required by a Task Mission that you found out about later in the game (I have heard of other Players having exactly this happening to them). When/IF that happens you would have to free up a production slot by destroying ALL of the business (including AI owned ones, which you would have to buy) in one of those production slots. You could find yourself tasked to produce something and find that all 7 production slots had been used, because of new businesses that you or the AI had built there after the game started.

You do have to be careful about the 7 production slots being used up. Not all Sevilles "would" be producing Fruit, Cotton, Sugar, and Tobacco at the start of a game, but you could build businesses to produce them. The non harvested/extracted resources/goods could change from one new Campaign Game to the next new Campaign Game, without affecting being able to complete specific Tasks for the Campaign Games.įor example, Seville in every new game "could" produce Fruit, Cotton, Sugar, and Tobacco, but only some of them would start the game producing Cloth, Clothing, Beer, Rum, etc., those items vary from game to game.
PORT ROYALE 2 STUCK ON TRADING TUTORIAL PATCH
So before this bad patch (that came out yesterday, and was fixed today), every Campaign Game had the same starting resources that could be harvested or mined (extracted) in the various towns, no matter how many times you started a new game. The Campaign Games and their Tasks+Missions were written assuming that certain resources could be produced in specific towns for some of their Tasks. There was also a problem with the starting resources in Towns in Campaign Games being randomized and then the player could not complete a mission task, such as build 4 Coffee and 4 Cacao businesses in Puerto Cabezas, because that town could not produce Coffee and Cacao.
